The challenge

Half a million people, and not enough of a job market to meet them

Nearly half-a-million young people enter the Nepali job market every year, while only one-fifth of the country's jobs are in the formal sector. One-fifth of youth are unemployed, the highest rate in South and South East Asia. With women's participation rates slightly exceeding a quarter, there remains a significant gender gap in the workforce.

Why we exist

Training and employment, as a platform

To answer Nepal's painful challenges of unemployment and underemployment, especially among women, Patvik HR was established in 2026 as a market-driven social enterprise: a platform of training and employment for the youth of Nepal. Market-driven matters. We charge properly and sustain ourselves commercially, so the work does not depend on anyone's grant cycle.
